Mom Recommends Ideal Lives

When Joe was first diagnosed with ADHD, I could hardly believe it. I always thought of ADHD as synonym for 'hyperactive', and my quiet child certainly wasn't that. I began the long process of looking for information that would make me understand my child's disorder and determine the best course of action for him.

At first, I could find no materials to help me. As I became better at surfing the internet, I ended up with too much information. I needed help!

I needed someone to go through all the resources available, organize them and help me figure out which leads to follow. It took over a year for me to feel like I was beginning to be adequately educated on ADHD/Inattentive.

You have experienced the same frustration. Too little information, then too much information. Information that turns into an advertisement. Doctors that have an agenda. Teachers who have a one-size-fits-all philosophy.

"Who Put the Ketchup in the Medicine Cabinet?" was started when I realized how little information is dedicated to children with ADHD/Inattentive. I'm learning more every day about the disorder and about available resources.

One of the best resources I've found is Ideal Lives. It offers a wide variety of helps:

Free articles and courses.

A wide range of reports including such titles as A Parent's Guide to the IEP, including a version customized for ADHD!

Ebooks such as The Internet Resource Guide, which will help you learn to use the internet to research for yourself.

Custom research services: you pick the topic, and Lisa Simmons and her crew will research it and deliver it to your email inbox!

Virtual Classes, including one on ADHD.

A wonderful newsletter called "Ideal Lives Express".

And much more.

For parents and teachers, Ideal Lives has some of the most practical suggestions you will find on the internet.
