Sponge Race
Equipment:
- Two large sponges
- Four buckets or pots NOT made of glass
- Water
Instructions:
Measure exactly the same amount of water in two of the buckets or pots.
Place the other two containers about 20 feet away, like you're setting up a relay race.
Give each player a sponge. When "Go!" is called, each player soaks the sponge in the first bucket, then runs to their empty bucket and wrings out the water from the sponge. Then they run back to the first bucket, soak up more water, and run to wring it out in the other bucket. This continues until both the first buckets are empty. The game isn't about who can finish first, by the way.
When both of the first buckets are empty, measure the water in the second buckets. The player with the most water in the second bucket wins!
